HITS Alumni Meeting 2023

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for our Alumni Meeting on Saturday, 8 July 2023, at the HITS Campus in Heidelberg. Once again, the emphasis will be on exchange and networking between alumni and current HITSters, who are also cordially invited.

This year´s meeting is intertwined with a “Math colloquium”, a special event in honor of our former group leader and HITS alumna Anna Wienhard (Groups and Geometry group), who took up her new position as Director of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in November last year. We are very pleased to have U.S. mathematicians Steve Trettel and Richard Schwartz as speakers at the colloquium, which is open to the public (for this part of the event, please register via the HITS colloquium page).

After lunch, the Alumni meeting commences with a career panel session. Three alumni, who now work in academia and industry, will share their experiences of the different career paths they have taken, followed by a Q & A. 

Once the formal part is over, we invite all participants to continue catching up at a “sit and sizzle” barbecue on the beautiful HITS campus.
